The CompTIA i-Net+ exam is specifically designed to certify Internet and e-commerce technical professionals responsible for positions in the maintenance of Internet, Intranet and Extranet infrastructure and services, as well as the development of Web Design related applications.

The CIW Master Designer program consists of a series of 3 courses, each representing a different Internet job role. The prerequisite course is completion of the CompTIA i-Net+ exam or the CIW Foundations exam. The 2nd and 3rd course requirements are the Site Designer and E-Commerce Designer exams.

The E-Commerce Designer's job responsibilities include: designing and implementing commerce driven web sites; identifying customer needs; monitoring customer usage patterns; determining order processing and services after sales; and considering how e-business solutions might increase sales.

The successful completion of all 3 exams is necessary to be awarded the CIW Master Designer Certification.
